Hi, Chris,I would say this fan motor combination would fly you model with ease ,first you will need to diassemble rotor ,motor from fan shroud. Then balance fan rotor very accuratly .Next drill a 2mm hole at end of aly shaft so you can put allen key in this hole so you can tighten hex nut to hold on rotor use a little locktite type compound on this nut as w ell as grub screws that holds fan shaft to motor shaft. When you reinstal motor in fan shroud make sure shaft is on centre to inside of[...]

Scorpion motors/ESC : what_the?! Scorpion motors/ESC : what_the?!
bearing failure often is related to lubricant- wrong type for app , where app is load AND rpm.really, nothing except for bearings should wearout in a motor. and the bearings should take a long time (number of cycles).if high rpm is wearing the bearings then you've not selected the correct bearing for the application.

I'm running this ESC on one of my 450 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9299&Product_Name=TowerPro_H40A_Brushless_Speed_Controller_ I also have Turnigy Plush ESC on two other 450s and the TP works as well or better for $9 and you can program it with the Turnigy programming card too. It really works great even with a pretty hot motor. The only down side is the leads are a little short on the battery end but that's easily fixed with some additional 14ga wire.

Twin motor sincronitation : systemspecialis Twin motor sincronitation : systemspecialis
Heres a question that nobody has asked.   With a twin, it is fairly evident that with manufacturing tolerances being what they are, how are you going to cope with a low voltage cut off on one esc occuring before the other?   This is similar to one gas/glow motor failing and often results in the loss of the aircraft. ( The so-called 'DEATH SPIRAL'   I have the Hangar 9 Mitchell twin. It is on electric. It incorporates most of the ideas mentioned in this[...]

Hay, Can somebody out ther give me some advice? I am building a Nexstar e/p and I was wondering what Turnigy motor would be best to use when it calls for either a .46 or a rimfire 42-50-800. Sometimes the info given doesn't tell you all you need to know in the motor description.

hk450 motor slipping : rcmonger hk450 motor slipping : rcmonger
I have a problem with the turnigy e5006t motor slipping away on the motor mount from the main gear whenever i power up. I've been using washers but the washers are a little big for the screws. Should i just go back to using no washers? I only had trouble once with no washers and i think it it might have been because of me flipping idleup too early because of my non programmable transmitter had preset idleup. Suggestions? Thanks
