I've now built my portable ground station that houses all the gear neatly and all is working well.  The station runs on a 3S Turnigy 3000mah lipo.  The DVR  runs off a Turnigy 3A switching reg at 5V.   The station carries the patch antenna and all leads are permanently connected. Thanks everyone for your input. I'll be putting this motor on a foamy that I got for $10.00. I have had a couple of people at my flying field recommend the Turnigy's.

2200~2300mah lipo are suitable for you... got turnigy, zippy, rhino...take 20C and above discharge should be good for you..no training gear found...
